Authentic Mexican Grill in Asheville
I wanted to tell you about another restaurant my husband and I love. It is called Papa’s & Beer and there are several located around the Asheville area. We go to the one at 17 Tunnel Road just because it is close to where we live but they are all great.
California Style
One of my favorite items to order is the fresh table side guacamole. It is fun to watch them make it and they will ask how hot you would like it. The menu has something for everyone. I noticed today there is a hamburger listed on the menu.
Atmosphere
We love to pick a restaurant where sitting outdoors is an option. They have a nice area out front.
Best Margaritas
They have great Margaritas. We have had those several times.
The Staff
The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We have been customers for years and each and every time we have the nicest people that seat us, take our orders and bring the chips and bean dip.
The Menu
The menu is huge. It might be the largest selection I have seen before. I look it over carefully but always come back to my California chicken soft tacos. These come with rice and beans or a Ceasar salad. Mitch orders a variety. He might get the soup, the shrimp cocktail, burritos or tacos. There is a nice salsa bar with about 10 varieties of salsa from mild to hot. We have never had anything we did not like. The prices are very good. We eat for less than $20.00 if we do not get margaritas and stick with water.
