Easiest Blowout on Hair

I have never been good at styling my hair.  Being born in 1961 I went through a lot of perms and big hair in the 80s. The texture of my hair is wavy and I have a lot of hair. My go styling tools are curling irons and hot rollers.  The flat iron is not something I have mastered. My hair is frizzy by nature and dry from coloring.

Wavy Hair

Since my hair is wavy and colored   I start out using a sulfate free shampoo and moisturizer and combing my tangles out in the shower.  Buying a microfiber towel will help with drying time and frizz. I will list one I recommend at the end.

Blowout Hair Products

About once per week I put a deep conditioning mask and let it sit for 20 minutes. My highlights are drier than the rest of my hair and they sometimes look grey or brassy. The mask helps with that. By trial and error, I found two products that certainly help but I think it depends on the individual.  What works for some might not work for others. I love the two below.

L’Oreal Advanced Hairstyle

This is a Thermal Smoother Cream that smoothes, protects, tames frizz and has a heat protection

Quick Dry Primer Spray

I use a lot of L’Oreal products because I love their products and you cannot beat their price.  For the two styling products above it was less than $10.00

How to do a Blowout

When I try to dry my hair with a round brush and the dryer I feel like I need more hands which is the reason I let my hair dry on its own most of the time. About a week ago I found a tool on Amazon that I wanted to try. It is a Hair Dryer Brush that said it could straighten and curl in one step.  It has negative Ions for reducing frizz and static. This is the star of the show in my opinion.  It was so easy and did not take a lot of time.

I shampooed and conditioned, combed thru in shower, wrapped in a towel removed the excess water, applied the two L’Oreal products listed above.  I always start with my bangs on the low setting and then section off the rest of my hair and dried on medium to high.   At no time did I feel the dryer was burning my scalp or getting tangled in my hair.  I have medium length hair and I felt the barrel size for what I wanted was perfect. I can use it to make straight or curly. It gives it a more noticeable shine and silky feeling.

Lazy Girl Blowout

I am extremely lazy when it comes to my hair. This is my solution and I highly recommend it if you do not like using the brush and dryer separately.
