My Journey with Insomnia
Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is characterized by difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. 33% of us have sleep issues.
Sleep experts say stress is the number one contributing factor. We all deal with stress and anxiety. Sleep helps heal and rejuvenate us.
When I do not get the sleep I need I notice it. I am irritable and have focus issues. My thought process is slower. I am sluggish and not as happy as usual.
Melatonin is a great natural remedy. I was watching a news segment today on insomnia and heard that Melatonin can take up to two weeks to work. Make sure you give it enough time before thinking it is not working!
Chamomile teas is a calming tea. I know it helps wind me down at night.
I am a fan of natural remedies. I do not want to take a prescription like Ambien.

The best suggestion I saved for last. Get some exercise. It clears my mind to take a walk!
