I found a new product that I love and I would love to share my Tangle Teezer Review for Detangling my coarse wavy hair. I was interested in the history of this product so I will start there.

Tangle Teezer Inventer

Shaun Pulfrey became a hairdresser at the age of 16.  He developed the Tangle Teezer for detangling hair and is now a multi-millionaire. It is said to be a favorite among celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Emma Watson.  Born in Grimsby England he came up the concept of the Teezer in 2002. Pulfrey self-financed it and worked hard to get it developed. He took it on a show called “Dragons Den” which is the BBC equivalent of “Shark Tank” The product was rejected.

Marketing the Tangle Teezer

The company started sending samples to celebrity hairdressers who spread the word. Celebrities were some of the first people to support the Tangle Teezer.

Curly hair

I have thick, wavy, colored treated hair now but I can recall my mom chasing me all over the house as a child to comb the tangles out.  Over the years it has become dry and frizzy. I was using Google to search for products when this one popped up with great reviews. There was a link to Amazon and clicked there to get more info. The price was under $15.00 and I saw there was one Tangle Teezer specifically for thick and curly hair. I ordered it and it arrived in two days.

My Review on The Tangle Teezer Detangling Hairbrush for Thick, Curly and Coarse Hair

In the past, I have used a wide tooth comb after I conditioned my hair.  It took a bit of time to get rid of the tangles and would some times pull an entire knot out.  The Tangle Teezer slides thru my hair and easily gets rid of tangles and knots while preventing breakage. You can use it on wet or dry hair which is great because I do not wash my hair every day. It fits in the palm of your hand and separates each strand of hair.

If color matters to you there are many colors to choose and different styles.

I am late to the game for finding the Tangle Teezer but I am glad I found it.   I needed this in my life.  It is a great gift for someone who is struggling to comb their children’s hair.  I recommend this product to anyone who has hair that tangles.
