Best Foundation for Mature Skin

Recently I was binge-watching youtube videos from one of my favorite ladies.  She is wonderful about comparing drug store brand makeup to department store brands. I was especially interested in this one because I had been wanting to find a brand that was just as good as my usual but a bit more affordable.

Estee Lauder VS L’Oreal

I was skeptical.  I have mature skin at age 57, some large pores and freckles. I have combination skin. Dry and oily. I still get a little acne on my nose and chin. I started out with my usual primer, Laura Geller Spackle under-makeup primer and then applied the L’Oreal with a sponge. I have dark circles so I applied my concealer. (I will talk about my concealer in another post)  This was at 6 am.  While at work I checked several times throughout my day.  The L’oreal maintained the fresh color all day.  At 5 pm it was still looking good.

The Estee Lauder did cover my freckles better but my freckles looked pretty good with the L’Oreal.

Both of them stayed fresh all day. The price difference is significant. I am very pleased with the L’Oreal.  At this point, I will probably not give up entirely on my Estee Lauder but I will wear the L’Oreal as well.
